Through Resolution No. 015-2021 of the Foreign Trade Council (COMEX), published in the Second Supplement to Official Gazette No. 12 of March 2, 2022, Ecuador modified the tariff sub-items to which the penalty on imports of Colombian goods for consumption will be applied, as authorized by the Court of Justice of the Andean Community through an order issued in process 118-AI-2013.
What does the penalty entail?
It imposes an additional 10% tariff on imports for consumption of the following goods of Colombian origin:

According to the resolution, the National Customs Service of Ecuador (SENAE) is granted a term of 10 days following the notification from the Ministry of Foreign Trade (MPCEIP) to implement the measures to comply with the penalty.
