The Ministry of Work has set the general basic consolidated wage at $400. This includes small-scale industry, agricultural and low-cost assembly maquila workers, domestic workers, artisans and employees of microenterprises[1]. The salary came into effect on January 1, 2020.
The salary has been increased by 1.523%, considering projected economic growth and inflation variables. These factors will be used to calculate the minimum sectoral salaries for 21 sectors.
