Carlos focuses his practice on mining, oil and energy regulatory law. He advises foreign and national companies in all stages of project development, from regulatory compliance to contract negotiation and environmental matters.
He has been part of the advisory teams for the concessionaires of seven of the ten renewable energy projects approved in Ecuador in recent years. His expertise covers the entire project lifecycle, from bidding processes and environmental permitting planning to regulatory compliance and contract negotiation. He has also been involved in self-generation projects, guiding PBP’s clients through the complex process of obtaining the necessary permits and approvals from Ecuadorian authorities.
