Hugo is part of our Personal Data Protection team.
Hugo is an expert in Personal Data Protection, Information Security and IT Project Management. Throughout his career, he has advised several national and international companies in the financial sector about the implementation of, and compliance with, the Law on Personal Data of Ecuador, the GDPR and Canadian privacy laws.
Hugo has led the implementation of privacy and IT security programs, developing tools for impact assessments, risk analysis, and definition of action plans through cybersecurity, legal and organizational measures. Moreover, he has managed privacy incidents and rights requests, he has addressed requirements made by control authorities, and he has developed training plans on personal data protection, among others.
