María Elena focuses her practice on the Energy sector, specializing in the electricity sector and non-conventional renewable energies. She assists companies in multiple day-to-day disciplines and has extensive experience in bidding processes with the Ecuadorian State.

Additionally, she has experience in corporate law and mergers and acquisitions transactions, having advised several multinational companies and participated in important transactions. Prior to joining the firm, she worked as in-house counsel in an important company in the Ecuadorian electricity and oil sector.
